Michael R. Romanelli, MD, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department and sees patients at Springfield Clinic Peoria Heights. He earned his medical degree and completed his plastic surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, then completed an aesthetic plastic surgery fellowship at Core Plastic Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Romanelli approaches treatment plans collaboratively, providing honest guidance and clear education. His scope includes all aspects of aesthetic surgery — including facial rejuvenation, breast and body contouring, and breast reconstruction.
I love hearing each person's unique story and their motivations, and working together to achieve their goals.
His passion for the physician-patient relationship stems from admiring his father, an orthopedic surgeon in the Springfield area. "Growing up, I loved hearing my father's passion as he shared about the improvement in quality of life his practice offers," he says.
Outside of practice, Dr. Romanelli is a dedicated husband and father of three who enjoys family time, baseball, ballet, golfing, and water activities.
